Six elegant pieces of Pearl China iridescent finish glaze with 22k gold trim. Crafted in the USA. All pieces have … more Six elegant pieces of Pearl China iridescent finish glaze with 22k gold trim. Crafted in the USA. All pieces have an iridescent luster glaze that presents oil slick colors on the shiny surface with 22k gilded handles, spout and trim. The scalloped centerpiece bowl has the iridescent glaze on the inside and an overall 22k gilding on the outside with an etched flower enrichment. The teapot and creamer have a raised swirl on the side. The sugar has a double raised swirl.Back stamps on all the pieces (except the creamer & sugar) read ‘Pearl China Co. Hand Decorated 22 KT Gold U.S.A. The Pearl China Co. used this makers mark from the 1930’s through the mid century. Records suggest that Pearl China sold its Pioneer Pottery operation to Craft Master Corp. of Toledo, Ohio, in 1958. There is very little info to be found on The Pearl China Co but from what I have been able to learn, I believe this set was made sometime in the late 1940s or early 1950s. less
