In fact,the design includes two green eyes on either side of the spout. The design includes bold colors of red, purple, yellow and green. The pitcher is so beautiful that it should be displayed and not hidden away in a cabinet.This stunning midcentury modern DeSimone Italian pitcher is marked DeSimone 6416 on the bottom. Giovanni DeSimone, an aristocrat turned artist, created the company in the 1960s. The founder was influenced by the work of Pablo Picasso. Picasso’s influences are evident in the bright colors and simple lines of his designs. The colors are still vivid despite the pitcher being more than 55 years old. Although I don’t know the exact age of the piece, I believe it was made in the 1960s The pitcher can proudly be displayed as a work of art. No two pieces of DeSimone’s work are alike, making each one rare and unique.The pitcher is approximately 9.5” high and approximately 6” wide. The pitcher is large and the capacity is 11 cups or 88 ounces.There is some crazing throughout the pitcher. There are some white spots that appear to have resulted in the original firing of the pitcher. Please refer to the pictures. less
