Circa Late 19th Century. The The Board is Completely Hand Made – Hand Carved out of One Piece of Heavy – Solid Hardwood that Appears to be Maple. The Board is Hand Carved – Reads ALLISON BREAD. The Lower Part of the Board is Carved with Wheat Stalks. I Believe that it is a Advertising Piece and Would have Been Given as a Promotional Premium to Customers that Purchased Their Companies Bread. It is Most Likely English in Origin but These Types of Carved Bread Boards were Produced for Export to the USA and Other Countries. It is in Very Nice All Original Condition and Has Developed a Wonderful Color and Patina From Use Over the Years – Displays Beautifully.
