Circa 1800 Antique Spanish Colonial Sabino Cypress Wood Trunk or Chest with hand Forged Wrought Iron Hardware on Later Carved … more Circa 1800 Antique Spanish Colonial Sabino Cypress Wood Trunk or Chest with hand Forged Wrought Iron Hardware on Later Carved Lion Platform Base. Interior fitted with a left side compartment that is hand hewn with wood hinge. The base lis later than the trunk and most probably early 20th century. Dovetailed corners as shown. Condition is sturdy and sound with wear as expected with age and general use. Only minor wood losses and heavy patina to the wrought iron.
