C.1960 Laurids Lonborg of Denmark wooden salt shaker and pepper mill created by designer, Gunnar Florning. The pair have so much personality with their chef hats and houndstooth pants. They are composed of painted teak wood and decal decorations. The pepper mill is a classic grinder and the head pulls off for filling. The salt shaker has three holes at the top and fills from the bottom. The grinder hardware is mark ‘Laurids Lonborg Made In Denmark’.The set is in fair condition and shows a great deal of wear from age and use. Both pieces show paint loss and there is some spotting and darkening of the teak wood. The grinder appears to work well though the salt is missing a stopper. In spite of the issues, these two are charming and the perfect kitchen companions for Danish modern decor.The pepper mill Chef measures 6.75” tall x 2.25” wide and deep. The salt Sous Chef measures 4.5” tall x 1.5” wide and deep. less
