A clear example of this philosophy is the Spanish Chair, created in 1958 after a trip through Andalusia with his family. This piece has reached iconic status thanks to its exceptional crafts, undeniable durability and a beauty that does not go unnoticed, being produced today by Fredericia. Inspired by the old Spanish chairs, it reflects the acute sense of Mogensen’s characteristic materials and proportions.In his creative process, Mogensen decided to dispense with the intricate carved ones present in the artisanal pieces that had captivated him so much, but maintained essential elements such as the generous plates and the combination of leather and wood.
