It is vintage from the 1970s. This is most likely not American. Detail on this chair is endless and elegant. The off-white upholstery is new and new inserts were replaced. The pair of Rams heads at the end of the arm is all restored with real gold leaf as well as the rams paws at the bottom and column like Corinthian embellishments in the middle of the arm. The Greek key detail at the top is so classic. It is old world meets modern. It is totally classic with a beautiful flair of Regency style. This is a phenomenal side/ arm /desk chair that will make a statement in any room be it modern or traditional or transitional. The interior of the arm width is 19.5 between sides.
